Current Projects - June 2025

Along with normal day-to-day operations Navarro Mills WSC is currently working on the following:

  • TDEM Generator Grant - A grant project that proposes to install back-up generators at each plant. This will ensure that the water continues to flow in inclement weather and during power outages.
  • Community Development Block Grant - Navarro Mills WSC is applying for a $750,000 block grant, that is being sponsored by Navarro County, that will increase the storage capacity at plant #4 in Blooming Grove. Currently that pressure plane is nearing capacity. This project will ensure that there will be adequate storage for many years to come.
  • PIF - Navarro Mills WSC is in the process of applying for funding from the  Texas Water Development Board. If awarded this will upgrade a number of undersized water lines, as well as add a storage tank to plant #3 on FM 744. Currently plant #3 is at maximum capacity. The additional storage tank will allow new customers to be added and provide ample storage for many years.
  • Self-funded Pressure Tank at plant #2 - The Navarro Mills WSC Board of Directors has approved adding a new pressure tank to the station on FM 667. This plant is currently at maximum capacity. The additional pressure tank will allow for new members and add the capacity necessary to continue for the future.
  • TXDoT Water Line Relocation - TXDoT has contracted two (2) bridge reconstructions on our system. This project requires that Navarro Mills WSC relocate a number of water lines. The project has been identified as reimburseable, so we will incur minimal costs with this project.
